Its Cruise Time and I'm Down to 3 Ships help me choose!?

I really enjoy cruising and ive already been on 2 cruises and had great times. i am in the midst of planning my 3rd cruise and i cannot decide which ship to go on. They all go where i want to go. It is between Carnival Triumph, Carnival Glory, and the huge Royal Carribbien ship Freedom of the Seas. Anyone have any experiances or recommendations on/for these ships?

For a little extra info i love to go clubbin at nights on my cruises and enjoying great food day and night be it the buffet or dining. A basketball court would be nice too or an arcade.

So to summarize i would like

Great club

Great Food

and a Basketball court or great Arcade (DDR!!)

Which should i go on!?

Its Cruise Time and I'm Down to 3 Ships help me choose!?ariel

Both the Carnival ships are good choices then. The food has been greatly improved on all Carnival ships and they have more/better club/party atmosphere than Royal Caribbean (which is a bit more family oriented, not that you wouldn't enjoy Freedom if you're a couple or singleton).

Its Cruise Time and I'm Down to 3 Ships help me choose!?computers

In my experience, I really prefer Royal Caribbean to Carnival. If you can get both trips for the same price, I'd go for the Freedom. I was able to see it this past weekend, and it is a really nice ship! It has all of the activities that you're looking for, and then some!
Go with Freedom of the Seas.

Is anyone familiar with Trickle Down God theory? What do you THINK about it?

For those unfamiliar it goes something like this...

If God, being Omnipotent and unable to experience limitation which by definition limits him, he decides to create a universe where He can learn what it is like to be frustrated and to learn what it feels like to triumph over adversity. Then, big bang, God explodes creating the universe as we see it today, composed of the matter and energy that was God. Therefore we are all a part of God. I haven't decided whether or not I subscribe to this line of thinking myself, but it seems to make sense on the surface. Let me know what you THINK.

Is anyone familiar with Trickle Down God theory? What do you THINK about it?aurora

I must admit, I find the ''theory'' not quite convincing. But before I tell you why, or why it at least would need to be extended to fully make sense, let me quickly say that ''theology'' might be the better term to use here. A ''theory'' is usually falsifiable. At least in scientific (here including theology) circles.

The main problem I have with this approach is that God would not learn from this experience, since we are not aware of he fact that we are parts of an omnipotent God who has to learn about limitations. It seems to me, that the Trickle Down God would thus accept human (and animal) suffering for the sole, selfish purpose of his own learning experience. That requires a very negative view of God. Not exactly the same as your preferred gnostic concepts, but equally negative.

Do Christians agree with these statements about Paul?

Carl Sagan (Scientist; Author)

''My long-time view about Christianity is that it represents an amalgam of two seemingly

immiscible parts--the religion of Jesus and the religion of Paul. Thomas Jefferson attempted to

excise the Pauline parts of the New Testament. There wasn't much left when he was done, but it

was an inspiring document.'' (Letter to Ken Schei [author of Christianity Betrayed])

Thomas Jefferson

''Paul was the first corrupter of the doctrines of Jesus.'' (All references not listed here, can be

Albert Schweitzer

''Where possible Paul avoids quoting the teaching of Jesus, in fact even mentioning it. If we had

to rely on Paul, we should not know that Jesus taught in parables, had delivered the sermon on

the mount, and had taught His disciples the 'Our Father.' Even where they are specially

relevant, Paul passes over the words of the Lord.''

Wil Durant (Philosopher)

''Paul created a theology of which none but the vaguest warrants can be found in the words of

Christ.''

''Fundamentalism is the triumph of Paul over Christ.''

Walter Kaufmann (Professor of Philosophy, Princeton)

''Paul substituted faith in Christ for the Christlike life.''

Ok for those of you who don't know what history day it it's kind of like science fair but with history. Last year i made it to nationals. You could do the English Protestant Reformation. Depending on how much work you wanted to put in, you could start with Henry VIII and how his annulment of his marriages caused people to begin doubting the Divine Right of Kings. Somewhere around 72,000 people were executed for heresy/treason during Henry's reign, mostly because Henry's religious beliefs changed depending on who he was married to at the time. When his son Edward took over, Protestant ministers were in charge; then when Mary Tudor inherited the throne, the country was supposed to be Catholic, and then Elizabeth's reign brought in an age of tolerance. Elizabeth didn't care what religion her subjects followed as long as they were loyal to her. You could keep going with this theme and cover the English Civil War as well (I'm not sure how much space you have).

If you need something for American history, you could try the Civil Rights movement. There's a lot of conflict (the Freedom Riders, the nonviolent movement, Montgomery Bus Boycott) followed by compromises like school desegregation and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Oooh...what about the busing crisis in South Boston in the 1970s? Now there's conflict and compromise, even though the compromise maybe didn't turn out well for all (any?) sides. J. Anthony Lukas wrote a book called Common Ground about the whole conflict, its beginnings, and its aftermath.
The Depression and the Great Deal.
world war 1 and then the formation of LON ( league of nation )

I found some random quotes by which I never heard before and wanted to share them with you. I enjoy truth by which others have found as well as bible quotes.

Force is all-conquering, but its victories are short-lived.

Those who know how to win are much more numerous than those who know how to make proper use of their victories.

The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights

The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.

Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.

I look at victory as milestones on a very long highway.

The nerve that never relaxes, the eye that never blanches, the thought that never wanders, the purpose that never wavers - these are the masters of victory.

Are harleys the ultimate road bike?

i'm stuck in a dilemna between harley and triumph.

Are harleys the ultimate road bike?computer

Let me answer this one by saying that I own many bikes (I am a mechanic and I build custom racing bikes). I currently own:

    1998 Harley Road King

    2000 BMW R-1200

    2001 Suzuki Intruder VS-1400

    2003 Suzuki GSX-R 1000

1993 Suzuki Katana 750 (track race bike)

I love all my bikes but I ride the BMW and the Intruder the most. They are the most trouble free and they are my daily commuters. Every morning they start and run perfectly. The GSXR is the same story, but I only ride that one on weekends with me buddys. The Katana is only for use on the track. That leaves the Harley. A fine bike and people really seem to love it when I show up someplace on it. But, it has it's problems.

Even in a 1998 model, the thing leaks oil from the pan (replaced it twice -- once from the Dealership and once myself) and tends to run REALLY rich when the weather heats up. Fouling plugs is not uncommon. Also, Harleys are all air-cooled (with the exceptiong of the V-Rod, which is an AMAZING bike -- if you get the chance, ride one) so they have a hard time in traffic in hotter climates (I live in Texas -- VERY HOT). I have had my Road King simply get too hot and quit on me a few times. Never happens with my imports.

The long and the short of it is this: What do you want to use the bike for? If you are going to be riding every day like I do and you can only afford one bike, then get something from Honda or Suzuki or BMW. These are high quality machines with a lone life and no real troubles to speak of. But if you are a RUB (thats Rich Urban Biker -- someone who just likes the IDEA of riding) then buy the Harley. For weekends and roadtrips in pleasant weather, you can't do better. A lot of people like the Harleys better based on the image, not the machine itself. So if you want image, yeah, get a Harley. If you want a bike that will run for years and give you no headaches, look elsewhere.

  • Europe you live in a glass house! Quit throwing rocks. Why dont Americans like (some) Europeans?

In the year of our lord 2007 the United States faces a challenge we remain reluctant to recognising in full and opportunities we fail to recognize at all. We are the greatest -and most virtuous- power in history. For now our existence is not at stake, although the lives of our citizens, the degree of our freedom and the well-being of our allies are at risk. There is no doubt that we will survive and triumph. But the decisions we make will determine the costs our enemies extract along the way. And we DO have enemies, old and new, mercilles and uncompromising, who hate us for our success, our freedom, and our power, as well as for the global transformations we inspire.

The United States is cast in the role of a doctor during a plague. No matter how hopless the situation may seem, the crisis demands our courage and perseverence. The risks we take are the only hope for avoiding a greater disaster for humanity. Despite the errors we have made in the middle east, the vitriol spit in our direction by the regions inhabitants isn't really aboutr us, its about them. The middle east has grown so inhumane and weak that it craves a ''great satan'' to explain away its ineptitude. The greatest power on earth will have to do. Indeed the middle east remains the world's sick civilization. Because of our virtuous efforts, Iraq may become the Middle Easts beacon of liberty. Or it may end as another Arab pyre. The Iraqi's, not us, will determine their ultimate fate. Their choices will shape a civilizations future.

Regarding the unrestrained hedonistic heaven of Islam...?

If the muslim god Allah promises unrestrained hedonism in muslim heaven, why does he condemn hedonistic behaviour on earth, is the muslim god Allah a two-faced god?

I am refering to the virgins, young boys, wine, wealth...all the pleasures a person desires...which is promised to the person who gets into heaven.

    Koran 78:31

As for the righteous, they shall surely triumph. Theirs shall be gardens and vineyards, and high- bosomed virgins for companions: a truly overflowing cup.

    Koran 52:24

Round about them will serve, to them, boys (handsome) as pearls well-guarded.

    Koran 56:17

Round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness.

    Koran 83:23-26

The righteous will surely dwell in bliss. Reclining upon soft couches they will gaze around them: and in their faces you shall mark the glow of joy. They shall be given a pure wine to drink, securely sealed...

It would seem obvious that Muhammed had very, very little understanding of the spiritual realm when he set about inventing islam and allah. Hence the focus on ''more'' physical (worldly) rewards.

Pray for muslims that they might open their hearts and their minds to the love and mercy of the one true God, and to salvation thru His Son, Jesus, and that they may find their way away from the evil and wickedness that is islam and allah.

Who can save poor Terresa???? She is too poor for a wrong pick of a liar faith of christ.?

Mother Teresa's Crisis of Faith By DAVID VAN BIEMA

Thu Aug 23, 12:05 PM ET

Jesus has a very special love for you. As for me, the silence and the emptiness is so great that I look and do not see, listen and do not hear.

    - Mother Teresa to the Rev. Michael Van Der Peet, September 1979

On Dec. 11, 1979, Mother Teresa, the ''Saint of the Gutters,'' went to Oslo. Dressed in her signature blue-bordered sari and shod in sandals despite below-zero temperatures, the former Agnes Bojaxhiu received that ultimate worldly accolade, the Nobel Peace Prize. In her acceptance lecture, Teresa, whose Missionaries of Charity had grown from a one-woman folly in Calcutta in 1948 into a global beacon of self-abnegating care, delivered the kind of message the world had come to expect from her. ''It is not enough for us to say, 'I love God, but I do not love my neighbor,''' she said, since in dying on the Cross, God had ''[made] himself the hungry one - the naked one - the homeless one.'' Jesus' hunger, she said, is what ''you and I must find'' and alleviate. She condemned abortion and bemoaned youthful drug addiction in the West. Finally, she suggested that the upcoming Christmas holiday should remind the world ''that radiating joy is real'' because Christ is everywhere - ''Christ in our hearts, Christ in the poor we meet, Christ in the smile we give and in the smile that we receive.''

For the stupidest President, why does Bush continue to outsmart the Democrats?

Bush is winning today because he has jettisoned the jabber about global democracy and argues that a U.S. withdrawal risks a strategic disaster, national humiliation, massacre of our friends and triumph for al-Qaida. Democrats, fearing he may be right, are in paralysis.

Scourged for 20 years over ''Who Lost China?'' they don't want to spend the next 20 years answering ''Who Lost the Middle East?''

Thus the rout of the peace Democrats.

For the stupidest President, why does Bush continue to outsmart the Democrats?free antivirus

    You are correct!!!

What is even funnier is the anti-Bush people who say how stupid he is then they say he planned 9-11........in the 7 months that he was in office. Now to me that would be a genius, not someone stupid. Some liberals just can't move on and accept our leader. We had to put up with Clinton for 8 years. Karma is a b*tch!!

For the stupidest President, why does Bush continue to outsmart the Democrats?internet

It is less him outsmarting the Democrats as it is the Democrats are so weak willed that they refuse to do anything in the face of any opposition
What is it, exactly, that he is winning? He has already committed the the most devastating strategic disaster since Viet Nam when he invaded Iraq, caused us both national and international humiliation by having no exit plan other than toughing this out until the end, contributed to the massacre of our friends by not having a clue as to what might enable Iraq to join the global democracy by seeing to its governmental needs after the invasion and after the capture of Saddam Hussein and allowed al-Qaida to rebuild its strength on the Afghanistan/Pakistani border while we and the Iraqi people suffered losses far beyond all premature estimates. What about China, indeed! He is not a stupid man...he is an imbecile!
I agree with you, Bush is winning and the American and Iraqi people are losing. Bush is like a child who wants it his way or else. When given advice from experts in their fields, if it isn't what he wants to hear he ignores it. We are now in a war that shouldn't have been, and after listening nightly to what we should do about it I still can't see a way out that in the end doesn't cause damage to people. I see Bush as a magician, he is good at distracting people with one hand and doing his evil deeds with the other.

When it came time to decide how best to honor the horse, who was euthanized on Jan. 29, 2007 from complications of the breakdown, there was only one place Roy Jackson and wife Gretchen felt Barbaro would feel at home: a short gallop from the site of his greatest triumph.

  • Why do conservatives represent a double standard in Iraq?

Not only in Iraq but also an impending war with Iran.

I hear so many of you, NOT ALL but most seem to support this war and going into Iran with barrels blazing. I also hear many of you say they WANT a Holy War and this is the justification for fighting radical Islam. We all know Osama Bin Laden declared Holy War on infidels with 9/11. This is also what Amadinejad wants and a lot of Muslims in the middle-east especially in Iran worship Osama as their Mahdri or Mohammed incarnate to bring about Armageddon which will end with all infidels dead, Islam the true religion to triumph and rule the world. With so many of these parallels with our own biblical prophesies have you ever stopped to think what would happen if we chose not to play along with this plan? Aren't we actually playing right into their scenario? Does this mean that Bush really doesn't believe the bible or is he wanting Armageddon too?

Why do conservatives represent a double standard in Iraq?free spyware remover

You think we are going into Iran without Congress approval? Think again.

Why do conservatives represent a double standard in Iraq?ktm

Where to start?? First I am a conservative that believes this is a Holy War! Maybe a few more liberals need to read what is in the Koran. They are at war with the Jewish and Christian nations. Whether you agree with Ed Borden, he it correct! You can fight back or sit down and let them slice your head off. Second, Ernie, although Bush has professed his beliefs, I haven't heard him say he has a ''direct access'' to God. Bush is over, the next President is the one we need to worry about. Third, if the US or Israel does not stop Iran now, you can bet they will Nuke Israel and sell devices to Al Qaeda! Are you condoning that ''Ernie and Ron ''? Do you want to see Israel Nuked off the face of the map? Also I wouldn't rely on getting my news from CSPAN - might as well use the dailykos. If the process of Armageddon is in place then not one of us can stop it. But I don;t believe in the Rapture which means I will have to defend my Faith through Tribulation. Which I intend to do! And TD give us some good examples of those double standards with sources, but be careful not to also include libs. The politicians want people like you and I to argue and fight, that way we don't focus on their failings. (Federal Politicians are really only one party, once in Washington its them against the constituents.
The ''Armageddon now'' crowd believe all of this stuff happening is the fulfillment of prophecy. So they are pretty much all for it.

Public and Critical reaction to the new movie Borat?

Last week saw the release of a new film entitled Borat. If you have seen the movie I would like your thoughts.

Some have praised this film as a groundbreaking piece of work. An example of progressive and relevant film-making that is both clever and absolutely fearless. Some praise Borat as a ingenius creation, that Sacha Baron Cohen (the comedian who plays Borat) is a Sellers-esque performer and improvisor. There are those who believe that while the film is ''hilarious'', but also presents a very unsettling look at western civilisation and today's PC environment, cleverly exposing Hypocracy and home truths that many didn't know existed.

However there is the view that this film is just a one-joke mess, devoid of wit, mascarading as a clever version of MTV's Jackass. That the film is offensive, crude, juvenile and sadistic.

Is Borat a masterful triumph in new age film-making, or is the film a truely ugly piece of cyncism and vulgarity?

    What do you think?

Public and Critical reaction to the new movie Borat?hp

There were several scenes that made me want to throw the cell phone of the kid sitting in front of me, then a few seconds later something made me laugh so hard I almost shot Dr Pepper through my nose. The film shows that there are several aspects of our culture that contradict how we present ourselves, or at least how we feel we are. For instance, he uses the terms dirty Jew and chocolate face to describe people which and reasonable person would be disgusted by. But everybody laughs when he talks about killing gypsies with a Hummer. And the funniest part of the movies involves a large, LARGE amount of frontal male nudity.

What do you think this rambling is about?

Great love can give us hope to dream

That dawn will follow darkest night

That peace will triumph in the end.

And somehow make it all to right.

What do you think this rambling is about?husqvarna

There must be more to it than this:

Great love in God brings hope that in the end right will triumph and it will be ok in the end.

Without knowing the rest that is how I would see it..

What do you think this rambling is about?microsoft office

it means that love is all around it gives us hop.And that dawn will follow darkest all night like if you like someone you follow him all around ever place he go like dawn is like the evening and darkerst is like dark it follows it anywhere. And you are still all right with someone Whit you. That is what it means.
a day at the amusement park
I think it means that from the love of god you can overcome bad things that happen in life. I like it, good job.
Poem, obviously. Junior-high quality so does it really matter?
well, it sounds like something my 11 year old niece would write. on a bad day.
lol, to you it obviously means something different than it does to me.

If you take the lyrics of John Lennon's ''Imagine'', delete a few lines from that song....then your poem and those lyrics mean almost the same to both of us :)
It's not rambling. Actually its pretty lucid, but then I have an I.Q of 168.

You can't go past a Yamaha Virago if you can find a decent one at the right price.
i don't know what inexpensive is to you.. but i just bought a bike 3 mths ago.. its a v650 star Yamaha touring bike. i am 126lbs and 5'5''. i love it. it moves well and handles well it is a great learning bike. I will keep it for about 3-4 years and then move up to the 1100? something like that for a bigger motor. the only thing with the bike is that once you get to 65 you feel the motor really gearing up. Id prefer later some more horsepower. but for now it is absolutely perfect.. It is loaded with flat foot-boards forward and reverse switch gear, 4 year warranty, windshield, loaded with chrome. 9,ooo brand new. insurance was cheap too.
Be sure to take a safety course, but a great first bike is the Kawasaki Ninja 250. New they list at $2999 but you can pick up one with very few miles for a little over $2000. Put some miles on it, ride it for a year or two and you can sell it for about what you paid for it.

How different is radical Christianity from radical Islam these days?

If you think about it for a second: You got two sides warring against each other for blind supremacy--not just world domination.

Both sides use the same ideology against one another--trying to beat the other into the ground mercilessly. They both enjoy killing innocents %26 their enemy alike without hesitation.

They both proclaim 'victory' when something big happens--but in the long run, there's little effect on the overall war. So they go back to killing each other even more.

They both think that they are on a mission from 'God' %26 they alone have the righteous power to triumph over the other--flying in the face of reality all at once.

And all that's left in their wake--when they get done (if they get done) is ruined nations, displaced populaces, and economically shattered nations.

Totally with you on every point. Yes, in Belichick's mind (and apparently Goodell's, as he refuses to press the matter further with his league's premiere team) the end justifies the means. I hope the Patriots lose their shot at a perfect season on the biggest stage of the year, because it would serve them right.

Your so evil! Were going to have to give you an excorsism to get all that evilness out of you.

how do they ''cheat so much''? its not like they needed the tapes. they havent lost a game since giving them up.

maybe they cheat so much cause the whole team is willing to take paycuts to bring in other decent, non money hungry players who play the game just for what it is. A GAME.

BUSH: I think it's a triumph. I thought the president made the right decision in joining NATO and bombing Serbia. I supported them when they did so. I called upon the Congress not to hamstring the administration, and in terms of forcing troop withdrawals on a timetable that wasn't necessarily in our best interest or fit our nation's strategy, and so I think it's good public policy, I think it worked, and I'm pleased I took -- made the decision I made. I'm pleased the president made the decision he made. Because freedom to go in that part of the world, and where there's a lot of work left to be done, I do. I do think this, though. When it comes to timetables it can't be the United States timetable as to how discussions take place. It's got to be a timetable that all parties can agree to, like the Palestinians and Israelis. Secondly, any lasting peace is going to have to be a peace that's good for both sides. And therefore, the term honest broker makes sense.

This could likely show, when the count is finished that the 2% between Rodham Clinton and Obama may close closer and Obama could surpass her numbers. Keeping with the updates. Are you?

Kucinich alluded to online reports alleging disparities around the state between hand-counted ballots, which tended to favor Sen. Barack Obama, and machine-counted ones that tended to favor Sen. Paragraph 4A - Beowulf Assignment?

The traditional ending of a modern hero鈥檚 story is very similar to the ending of the Grendel and Beowulf fight. The hero is victorious and has defeated his enemy, while the rest of the society is joyous and forever commemorates the hero鈥檚 triumph. However, Beowulf continues on after the ending of Grendel, and goes on to defeat Grendel鈥檚 mother. It is not until Beowulf is much older and his strength is weakened that Beowulf faces his most difficult battle yet. An infuriated dragon searches for Beowulf鈥檚 kingdom with full intention to destroy it in search of a stolen treasure. Once Beowulf鈥檚 hall is destroyed, he makes the traditional vow for revenge. Once he reaches the dragon鈥檚 lair, Beowulf and the dragon fight in another violent and gruesome battle. His army runs from him, which makes him vulnerable to the dragon鈥檚 attack: 鈥淭hen the wound dealt by the ground-burner earlier had began to scald and swell; Beowulf discovered deadly poison suppurating inside him鈥?Beowulf 2712-2714)

Sorry it a day for blonde jokes for me:)?

An overweight blonde went to see her doctor for some advice. The doctor advised that she run ten miles a day for thirty days. This, he promised, would help her lose as many as twenty pounds.

The blonde followed the doctor's advice, and, after thirty days, she was pleased to find that she had indeed lost the whole twenty pounds. She phoned the doctor and thanked him for the wonderful advice which produced such effective results.

At the end of the conversation, however, she asked one last question:

''How do I get home, since I am now 300 miles away?''

There once was a blonde who was very tired of blonde jokes and insults directed at her intelligence.

So, she cut and dyed her hair, got a make-over, got in her car, and began driving around in the country.

Suddenly, she came to a herd of sheep in the road. She stopped her car and went over to the shepherd who was tending to them.

''If I can guess the exact number of sheep here, will you let me have one?'' she asked.

The shepherd, thinking this was a pretty safe bet, agreed.

''You have 171 sheep,'' said the blonde in triumph.

Surprised, the shepherd told her to pick out a sheep of her choice.

She looked around for a while and finally found one that she really liked.

She picked it up and was petting it when the shepherd walked over to her and asked, ''if I can guess your real hair colour, will you give me my sheep back?''

The blonde thought it was only fair to let him try. ''You're a blonde! Now give me back my dog.''

i got some paint inside of the gun where the balls are fed into it, and cant really get anything down there to get the paint out.

Is it alright to soak the gun in hot water to get the paint out?

its the new Tippmann Triumph eXT so it has the electronic trigger.

to be safe, should i take the battery out or something? or is there a better way to get the paint out without worrying about soaking the e trigger

Never Ever Dip Your Gun In Water! that will destroy your circuit board and get water in your air system. Take the gun apart and take out the bolt so it can be properly wiped down with a paper towel, then re-oiled.

Here is a dissasembaly manual for the gun if you need one to take it apart.

Is George W. Bush's most important achievement the DO NOT CALL list?

    A triumph!

Is George W. Bush's most important achievement the DO NOT CALL list?panda

No. Most important was the so-called ''Patriot Act'' and related legislation and executive orders which have burned gaping holes in the Constitution, liberty and human decency.

Is George W. Bush's most important achievement the DO NOT CALL list?suzuki

Why do people forget things like the

    2002 nuclear arms reductions treaty

Signed between the US and Russia, that eliminates over 70% of the nuclear warheads in both countries nuclear arsenal's by 2012.

Seems, something like that, would be nominated for a Nobel Peace prize.

What are your five favourite wrestling entrance songs of all-time?

    My five:

    1. Metalingus- Alter Bridge (Edge)

    2. nWo Triumph- New Japan (Keiji Mutoh)

    3. The Real Deal (D-Lo Brown)

    4. Somebody's Gonna Get It- Three Six Mafia (Mark Henry)

    5. This Fire Burns- Killswitch Engage (CM Punk)

What are your five favourite wrestling entrance songs of all-time?pc security

    1. ''The Ultimate'' - Ken Shamrock. I dare anyone to say that listening to that song will not pump you up and make you feel like a complete badass.

    2. ''Whatever'' - Our Lady Peace (Chris Benoit). Just embodied Benoit to a tee, the hard-nosed fighter that would never give up, an amazing theme for an amazing wrestler.

    3. ''Glass Shatters'' - Disturbed (Stone Cold). It just worked. No if's, and's or but's about it. Just pure awesomeness.

    4. ''Just Close Your Eyes'' - Waterproof Blonde (Christian). One of the things that made me mark out for Christian in the first place. As a full song, it's a bit too slow at parts, but the WWE remix for Double C's entrance is great,

    5. ''The Final Countdown'' - Europe (Bryan Danielson). Alright, it's a bad song. But somehow, it's turned into one of my favorite wrestling songs ever, maybe because I'm a Dragon mark, who knows? It's so good to use, if I ever participating in something that requires a theme song, I'm turning to this, or maybe Copa Cabana.

    The End of Work?

Twenty years ago the coming of ICTs was threatening the end of work...The 'death of work' is certainly not reflected in the data on the labour force. The growth of new technologies has in many areas compressed time through the expansion of work, and changed the nature of space, rather than eliminating it, by diffusing the spatiality of work into other zones. The unleashing of an embarassing excess of leisure opportunities forecast in the 1970s and 1980s is now confronted by evidence of both longer working hours and an increase, particularly among women, of participation rates.....As the efficiencies of the new ICTs displace traditional occupations, instead of the triumph of leisure we obtain both increases in unemployment but also expansion of insecure, low-paid and largely female paid employment in a labour market expanded to embrace work previously located in the informal or service sectors.' ( Golding, P. 2000)

Should we be optimistic or pessimistic with regard to these developments? Will you work less or more than your parents' generation? If so, at what cost?

    The End of Work?photoshop

Well according to the models I've looked at, you'll get a varying answers because of geography. In North America....it certainly seems like we're working more than our parents. But some countries in Europe, are enjoying more leisure days than their parents.

Do you liberals see any lies here, and if you do, please tell what and why.?

With the Democrats' full-throated moralizing of late, I'm almost tempted to vote for them --

although perhaps ''full-throated'' is the wrong phrase to use with regard to Democrats and sex scandals.

The sudden emergence of the Swift Butt Veterans for Truth demonstrates that the Democrats would prefer

to talk about anything other than national security.

Unfortunately for them, the psychotic Kim Jong Il seems to be setting off nukes,

raising the embarrassing issue of the Clinton administration's 1994 ''peace'' deal with North Korea.

At least with former Rep. Mark Foley, you could say the Democrats' hypocritical grandstanding

was just politics. But in the case of North Korea, Democrats are resorting to bald-faced lies.

Current New Mexico governor and former Clinton administration official Bill Richardson has been on tour,

bragging about the groundbreaking Clinton administration negotiations with North Korea --

keeping his fingers crossed that no one has access to news from 1994.

In 1994, the Clinton administration got a call from Jimmy Carter -- probably collect --

who was with the then-leader of North Korea, saying: ''Hey, Kim Il Sung is a total stud,

and I've worked out a terrific deal. I'll give you the details later.''

Clinton promptly signed the deal, so he could forget about North Korea and get back to

    Why Am I Married?

    WHY AM I MARRIED?

You have two choices in life:

You can stay single and be miserable or get married and wish you were dead.

At a cocktail party, one woman said to another,

''Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?''

''Yes, I am. I married the wrong man.''

A lady inserted an ad in the classifieds:

    ''Husband Wanted''.

Next day she received a hundred letters.

They all said the same thing:

    ''You can have mine.''

When a woman steals your husband,

there is no better revenge than to let her keep him.

A woman is incomplete until she is married. Then she is finished

A little boy asked his father,

''Daddy, how much does it cost to get married?''

Father replied, ''I don't know son, I'm still paying.''

    A young son asked,

''Is it true dad, that in some parts of Africa

a man doesn't know his wife until he marries her?''

Dad replied, ''That happens in every country, son.''

Then there was a woman who said,

''I never knew what real happiness was until I got married,

and by then, it was too late.''

Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence.

If you want your spouse to listen and

pay strict attention to every word you say -- talk in your sleep.

Just think if it weren't for marriage, men would go through life thinking they had no faults at all.

I think the carbs may have to be primed to get the gas flowing again???or maybe the bat. is not giving enough spark. how do I prime the carbs if that is the problem, maybe a safety switch stuck?

The gasoline in your float bowls (and your gas tank) has turned bad unless you used a gas stabilizer like Stabil. You should drain the float bowls and siphon the tank dry. Add fresh gasoline to the tank and let-r-rip.

  • In order to advance your belt in BJJ , you have to compete in tournaments ?

I know that BJJ is pretty tough for injuries, and the danger increases during injuries because players play for victory and triumph , so they don;t care about the opponent. So i' d like to know this. If in order to advance from whit to blue, from blue to purple, from purple to brown and from brown to black and etc... if you have to compete in tournaments .

In order to advance your belt in BJJ , you have to compete in tournaments ?software

I think real fights are an important part in attaining the highest belt possible in any art. If all you do is kata and practice, you're not really what you are training for are you....

In order to advance your belt in BJJ , you have to compete in tournaments ?vincent

you have to take exams before geting promoted to a higher degree belt obviously they know you can fight but theyre going to test you in skill ,knowledge, your degree of leadership, and many more cause you have to prove you are more then a fighter
I don't think tournaments are neccessary.
they are not necessary but they help. They show that you can actually apply the techniques in a live setting. You can also learn alot of little things from competing against another person at full force.

At my school none of the blue belts have not competed atleast once but the pressure to compete is not there. We do enough live rolling after classes that our instructors can see how well people are progressing.
If not, how do you know you're learning anything? Tournaments should come as close to the real world as any of us truely hope to get, so they become the proving ground for everything we're learning. Some say tournaments are not necessary, and I say that they are just as important as learning how to close your fist properly.
depends on the academy..at my academy you do not have to compete in tourneys to promote..but there is annual inter-academy tournament where we compete against each other in our own school, which also determines belt promos. bottom line is we're all there to make each other better not to harm each other, although every academy has the meathead white belts that refuse to tap and crossface the hell out of their opponent's nose etc. but for the most part it's geared towards improvement in bjj. p.s. dont enter 'grappling' tourneys that allow heel hooks, spine locks etc. because that's where all the meatheads kick it
Yes you do, you have to show proficiency, you have to prove that you can apply what you've learned, and you do so in tournaments.

    What do i choose?

in language arts we have the choice to read whatever book we want, but the theme has to be triumph and turmoil (ex. hatchet or a wrinkle in time). my teacher showed my class some books, most of them were dull. any ideas on books?

    What do i choose?spyware remove

What about ''Disgrace'' by JM Coetzee. Set in South Africa and won the Nobel price for literature. It's quite a dark book, so not sure it can be defined as 'triumph' although survival itself can be a triumph.

Or what about ''Wild Swans'' by Jung Chang. Brilliant book about 4 generations of female relatives who grew up in China, from the era of the concubine through communism to the great granddaughter who grew up in a capitalist western country. I enjoyed the book so much I went to China for a month :-)

Now do you believe that Jesus is the Messiah??

    Read this... http://www.fatheralexander.org/booklets/...

    Prophecies by content

The prophets wrote that the Messiah would have two natures: a human (Gen. 3:15, Is. 7:14, Gen. 22:18, Ps. 41:7, Dan. 7:13) and a Godly (Ps. 2; Ps., 45; Ps, 110; Is. 9:6; Jer. 23:5; Bar. 3:36-38; Mic. 5:2; Mal. 3:1), that He would be the greatest prophet (Deut. 18:18); king (Gen. 49:10; 2 Samuel 7:13; 1 Chron. 17:12-13; Ps. 2, Ps. 132:11, Ez. 37:24; Dan. 7:13) and High Priest (Ps. 110; Zach. 6:12), anointed by God (the Father) for these duties (Ps. 2, Ps. 45; Is. 42; Is. 61:1-4; Dan. 9:24-27), and will be a kind Shepherd (Ez. 34:23-24, 37:24; Mic. 5:3).

The prophecies also witness that the main role of the Messiah will be to defeat the devil and his powers (Gen. 3:15; Num. 24:17), redeem people from sin and to heal their physical and spiritual illnesses (Ps. 40; Is. 35:5-7, 42:1-12, 50:4 and the 53rd chapter and 61:1-3; Zach. 3:8-9) and to reconcile them with God (Gen. 49:10; Jer. 23:5 and 31:34; Ez. 36:24-27; Dan. 9:24-27; Zach. 13:1); that He will sanctify the faithful (Zach. 6:12), will establish a New Covenant in place of the old (Is. 42:2, 55:3 and 59:20-21; Dan. 9:24-27), and that this covenant will be for eternity (Jer. 31:31; Is. 55:3). The prophets predicted the calling of the Gentiles to the Kingdom of the Messiah (Ps. 72:10; Is. 11:1-11, 43:16-28, 49:6 and 65:1-3), the spreading of faith, beginning with Jerusalem (Is. 2:2), that His spiritual blessings will extend to all humanity (Gen. 22:18, Ps. 132:11; Is. 11:1, 42:1-12 and 54:1-5; Ez. 34:23 and 37:24; Amos 9:11-12; Ag. 2:6-7; Zeph. 3:9, Zach. 9:9-11), and the spiritual bliss of the faithful (Is. 12:3).

Atheists: Why are their constants in the universe?

Fred Hoyle (British astrophysicist): ''A common sense interpretation of the facts suggests that a superintellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology, and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature. The numbers one calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question.'' (2)

George Ellis (British astrophysicist): ''Amazing fine tuning occurs in the laws that make this [complexity] possible. Realization of the complexity of what is accomplished makes it very difficult not to use the word 'miraculous' without taking a stand as to the ontological status of the word.'' (3)

Paul Davies (British astrophysicist): ''There is for me powerful evidence that there is something going on behind it all....It seems as though somebody has fine-tuned nature鈥檚 numbers to make the Universe....The impression of design is overwhelming''. (4)

Paul Davies: ''The laws [of physics] ... seem to be the product of exceedingly ingenious design... The universe must have a purpose''. (5)

Alan Sandage (winner of the Crawford prize in astronomy): ''I find it quite improbable that such order came out of chaos. There has to be some organizing principle. God to me is a mystery but is the explanation for the miracle of existence, why there is something instead of nothing.'' (6)

John O'Keefe (astronomer at NASA): ''We are, by astronomical standards, a pampered, cosseted, cherished group of creatures.. .. If the Universe had not been made with the most exacting precision we could never have come into existence. It is my view that these circumstances indicate the universe was created for man to live in.'' (7)

All hair removal methods have tricked us with their promises of easy,

painless removal. The epilady, scissors, razors, Nair and now.... The Wax!!

    My night began as any other normal weekday night. Come home; fix dinner;

played with the kids. I then had the thought that would ring painfully in my

mind for the next few hours; ''Maybe I should do the hair removal thing for

    the month?''

So I headed to the site of my demise; the bathroom. It was one of those cold

can it be? I mean, I'm no girly, girl, but am mechanically inclined enough

that I can figure it out.

    *YA THINK!!!*

So I pull one of the thin strips out. It's two strips facing each together,

stuck together. Instead of rubbing them together, I get out the hairdryer

and heat it to 1000 degrees. Cold wax my rear end (Oh, how this phrase

    haunts me!).

I lay the strip across my thigh. Hold the skin around it tight and pull.

OK... So it wasn't the best feeling, but it wasn't too bad. I can do

68 evinrude o.b. cranks,no spark.let up on key and get single spark? help?symantic

Does the motor crank over fast or slow? If slow, remove the spark plugs and retest. If you have spark back, you have a voltage issue. Could be the starter using too many amps, not leaving enough for the ign till you turn off power to the starter.

Back in the late 60's to the early 70's Johnson/Evinrude used several different ign systems. Does yours have the spark plug leads coming out from under the flywheel with a box on the right side that has Motorola on it? If so, make sure the voltage to the box stays above 10.5 volts when cranking, if not we need to get it there.

Or is the a box on the side with 10 wires going to it and 3 coils, 1 for each plug? Then we have a different issue.

    Let us know.

You must drain ''Oil Tank'',,,which is a unique arrangement on these motors,,,,,,far as remote tanks go.

    * Note that Fuel Tank wont drain when hose is removed.

Easiest way is to Remove Tank,,invert it and drain through Filler Cap.

If you want the tank DRY,,which is probably Safest/Best....

Shake Out what ya can,,,,then stick a Blow Dryer in the filler hole till it's Dry.

Use a medium or Cool setting.

DONT let the Tank overheat,in interest of avoiding paint damage.

Is this a good EULOGY for CYRANO DE BERGERAC?

Cyrano de Bergerac will be always remembered by his physical structures such as his large nose. Cyrano outshines those around him, finding eloquence in the face of darkness and comforting those who mourn his passing.

He proclaims himself a lover, duelist, writer, poet, musician, and etc. We will linger on his persistent bravery and his nobility of spirit, in taking daring risks to get Christian's letters to Roxanne even though they weren't written by Christian, and his refusal to yield to the patronage system (meaning that an artist would be taken under the protection and be provided for by a nobleman, his patron), surviving by his wit and art alone without help from others, he's a pretty admirable character. Cyrano de Bergerac is a character who holds his personal honor above all else. As a result of this belief, Cyrano's life is one of triumph as well as one of personal sadness. Though he ''wins some, and loses some,'' in the end, he suggests that he is absolutely satisfied with his life as he has lived it because he has lived it honorably.

Is this a good EULOGY for CYRANO DE BERGERAC?cafe racer

On a scale of 1 to 10 it's a 6. I think this eulogy is too descriptive. Highlight the person and what he stood for and who he was but without describing the exact circumstances of his actions.

    Try this:

Cyrano de Bergerac will be missed. A man of shinning eloquence in the face of darkness, he will always linger in the minds of those who mourn his passing. And who could forget that nose!

A self proclaimed lover, skilled duelist, writer, poet, musician, and for many, a brave and noble man who risked his life to get Christian's letters to Roxanne. Cyrano de Bergerac was above all, a man with great honor, a true hero with an unrivaled dedication to others.

Cyrano's life is one of triumph as well as one of personal sadness. Although he won, and lost, in the end, he proclaimed he was absolutely satisfied with how he lived his life because he lived it with honor.

Freeing the slaves was barely an accomplishment for a man who went on record as saying he believed that blacks ought to be stay in their 'rightful place' in the bondage of whites, and was appealing to the victors of a war upon which his legacy was dependent. If it were not for the fact that the Civil War broke out the way it did when it did and ended the way it did, how would we really rate Lincoln today? Would we still attempt to make all his previous political failures the greatest story of personal triumph or would we call them what they are, and start finally recognizing why they occurred? Thoughts on the matter please one way or the other, but first and foremost, what made him great if ya don't mind answering that.

Abraham Lincoln, it's true, would have preferred to keep the slaves, BUT in order to keep the union together he went to war. Lincoln's ''emancipation proclamation'' never actually freed any slaves per say. He simply and unfortunately, put it in affect to justify the horrors of a deadly civil war that shook the very backbone of this nation. Prior to these war, we were many states or mini-countries, now we are ONE country. A perfect example of this was Lee, he was pro-emancipation and anti-secession BUT could not fight against his home country, Virginia.

    Convertible car seat question?

I'm currently in the market for a convertible car seat for my children. My oldest currently has a Triumph convertible seat by Evenflo. So far so good, it's been a pretty decent seat, and it seems to be comfortable.

My baby is getting ready for a convertible seat, the infant seat is getting small, and I want to get my oldest a new one as well. I would like to know which seat do you currently own, and what your experience has been with it so far. There are way to many in the market and it's difficult to just choose one, if I could I would get all the ones I like, but that would be unnecessary spending :o)

    Thanks for your advice!!!

    Remember these rules:

1)the BEST seat is the one that fits your child, fits your car, and will be used correctly 100% of the time. (This is why convenience features DO make a difference and ARE worth the money! If its easy to use, you're more likely to use it correctly.

2)Children should stay rear facing AS LNOG AS POSSIBLE!!!! The 20lbs/1 year rule is outdated and provides a bare minimum for turning kids forward facing. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration both recommend keeping kids rear facing as long as possible, up to the limits of their seat, preferably until at least 2 years of age. For good reason: A forward-facing child under 2 years old is 4 times more likely to be killed or seriously injured in a crash than a rear-facing child of the same age. A child's vertabrae do not fully fuse until 3-6 years old, before then, she is at great risk for internal decapitation. The spinal column can stretch up to 2 inches in a crash BUT the spinal cord can only stretch up to 1/4 inch before it snaps and baby is gone. In other countries, rear facing 2 - 3 - 4 year olds is standard, they understand that its safer. Here, we turn them as soon as we get to, seeing it as a right of passage thing or something. Ridiculous. Most convertible seats have a 30lbs rear facing limit, Cosco/Dorel/Safety1st/Eddie Bauer seats rear face to 35lbs, Britax rear faces to 33lbs.
